Boo Day

Saturday, October 2, 2010

We had a fabulous Boo Day, which is what we've taken to calling October 1st around these parts.  It started with a 2 hour school delay because of the massive rains we'd gotten; sleeping in is always a good way to start a day.  The kids then enjoyed Halloween poptarts on their new pumpkin plates:

The kids came home to find the house decorated for Halloween.

The dinner menu included Witches' Hats with Ghoulish Brew, Chilling Chili with Ghosts, and Witches' Brooms.  Dessert was Boo Brownie Cupcakes.

After dinner, we gave the kids Boo Bags with candy treats and fun crafts.  The kids finished the night by watching The Adventures of Ichabod and Mr. Toad.  All in all, it was a lovely, spooky night.

From FB: Our Boo Day Feast was a success! The appetizer was Witches' Hats w/Ghoulish Brew (blue corn tortilla chips & skillet queso). For dinner we had Chilling Chili w/Ghosts and Witches' Brooms (chili w/garlic mashed potatoes & garlic breadsticks). Dessert was the brownie cupcakes. The kids, & Tracy, Kev, & J loved their Boo bags. Now Aus and Sophie are watching The Adventures of Ichabod and Mr. Toad. What a fun night!
